// THE DESIGN
Tallywalls are designed to fit into any interior space.
Of course, this is not quite possible however most spaces between 2,4 m and 3,8 m ceiling height can be enhanced by Tallywalls. Therefore this design works for most standard interiors. The idea is that the wall can either be installed in spaces that already exist, or that new buildings are built with a minimum of structural elements so that all interiors can be adjusted anytime time with a maximum of flexibility.
Tallywalls are a perfect substitute for gypsum wallboard, but with zero waste, and maximum flexibility. We want to end our throwaway society.
// THE SYSTEM
To make our walls as flexible and adaptable as possible the design of this wall consists of four key elements.
1. We have are a firm and solid base for the wall. The steel poles are extendable to fit into any interior space and are locked in place between the ceiling and floor through pressure. The square caps at the top and bottom of the poles have a layer of felt between cap and floor and cap and ceiling so that the existing space is not harmed and deconstruction will not leave any marks.
2. We have shadow gap fillers, SGF, that are installed together with the poles. The shadow gaps fillers come in the same size as the panels and therefore automatically ensure the correct placement of the poles. They are also necessary for the insulation of the walls.
3. Our clamps are designed to connect to the pillars automatically and easily. When the setup of the pillars is ready we apply two parts of Fastmount clips, one to the clap and one to the panels.
4. The panels are made from multiple layers of thick recycled cardboard that are covered with recycled PET plastic. The back of each panel has a grid of small screw holes so that the fast mount clip can be inserted into different positions on the wall depending on the walls setup.
Once everything is in place, the panels can just be clicked into the right spot. This way we can just exchange your panels if you want a new look.
There is a huge selection of extras that have different functions. Depending on the use of the wall, different objects can be added. We advise adding one of our insulation panels for additional thermal and acoustic insulation. For this purpose, we also offer external acoustic panels to enhance conference rooms and offices. There is a hygiene layer that can be added behind the panels for locations like hospitals and doctors offices. Extra stucco and skirting boards can be added to make your home more continuous. // THE SIZES
Our panels come in a set selection of sizes that are as flexible as possible to suit your dimensions.
HEIGHT
The height varies from 30 cm to 350 cm in 5 cm intervals.
WIDTH
Our panels come in varying sizes from 30 cm up to 200 cm in 10 cm intervals.
We recommend the standard size of 1m and then additions to fit your walls. Our large collection from 1,5 m to 2 m are less easily usable as they are only applicable in spaces that have openings of that size.
Our precision panels vary from 71 cm to 79 cm in 1 cm intervals to fit your wall perfectly.
This does not fit for your interior? If your wall is particularly unusual you can get in touch and we can cut our small panels to adjust it to your space. This requires an up-price due to the recycling cost and limitation in the reusability.
